Akridge Orthodontics was founded in Louisville, KY in 1971 by Dr. Alan Akridge. Since our inception, we have grown from the original location on the Outerloop to adding offices in Middletown and Campbellsville as well. Over the past few years, all three locations have been reconfigured with brand new, state-of-the-art technologies. From cozy waiting rooms to the latest in digital X-ray imaging, our facilities have been updated with a “Patient First” mentality.
In 2009, Dr. Alan’s son Matt joined the growing practice after completing his orthodontic residency program in Jacksonville, Florida. In 2010, Dr. Matt took over full ownership and is currently running the day-to-day operations for all 3 locations.
Dr. Matt is taking the discipline he learned while playing under Coach Denny Crum at the University of Louisville and applying them to running one of the area’s top Orthodontics practices. Akridge Orthodontics is also the only practice in this area that utilizes the Alexander Discipline, developed by one of the world’s most renowned orthodontists Dr. Wick Alexander. The basic principle of this discipline reverts back to the old adage that EFFORTS = RESULTS!
